VCF Members Rally to the Perfect Order

Thank you to all who participated in the Perfect Order Index Community of Practice survey.

Through the efforts of VCF members of the CoP and our underwriting sponsor, Compliance Networks, the response has been tremendous ensuring that the financial value of the Perfect Order will be realized for the retail industry.

After an early review of the findings, it is apparent that one of the four Perfect Order metrics is beyond a doubt the most important to retailers and vendors alike. The four metrics of course include On-Time, Complete, Accurate Documentation and Damage Free.

Join us for the next Community of Practice meeting to find out which metric is “head and shoulders” above the rest. We will also announce the winner of the iPod Nano. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27 @ 11:00am. A meeting invite through TPNexus will be distributed to Community Members on Friday, May 22.

Perfect Tip: Take the Perect Order Index Survey

The Perfect Order Index Community of Practice (CoP), underwritten by Compliance Networks, is exploring the importance and value of consistently delivering shipments across the four Perfect Order Index measurements, on-time, complete, damage-free, with correct documentation.

Our survey of manufacturers and retailers, established with the support of Compliance Networks, will help to determine the current use and practice of the Perfect Order Index in the retail industry.

A white paper of the results will be published with a webinar to follow.
Please take our survey now. In appreciation of your time, respondents who complete surveys by our new end date - May 21 - will be eligible to win an iPod Nano provided by Compliance Networks in the available color of their choice. POI Community Meeting

Discussions during the inaugural POI CoP meeting indicated a consensus among community participants that clarity around the value of the Perfect Order remains insufficient. While the immediate benefits of achieving the Perfect Order are clear (e.g., ensure compliance, on-time, quality delivery; avoid deductions; improve supplier scorecards, etc.), these benefits have yet to be quantified.

Therefore, the Perfect Order Index Community of Practice will focus on establishing the financial value of a Perfect Order. To do this, an understanding of the current state of POI adoption is required.

I have sent out a meeting request via Outlook for Wednesday, May 7 at 2:00pm EST.

Perfect Order Index CoP - Survey Draft

Thank you to all those who have offered and made suggestions for the survey.

There is still time to reveiw the document and make changes. To view the draft, you can view the Community Documents section and download a copy of the questions. Following any additional comments, I will put up a version of the survey in Zoomerang and send out a test link for any final comments.
